Essential Oils-Part 1
Posted by Tisha Peterson on
Hi, I'm Tisha with Enchanted 3 Boutique. With the launch of our new spring products coming up at the end of the week I wanted to take some time to tell you about the benefits of the essential oils I use to make our bath and body products.
In our Rosemary Mojito skincare products, I use a blend of rosemary and peppermint.
Rosemary essential oil is known to hydrate the skin to help give it a soft and supple look and feel. It helps to control oil production, and its antibacterial properties makes it help fight against acne. It is also a natural astringent, which helps tone the skin and increases circulation to give skin a healthy radiant glow. When used in haircare products, it also can be used to stimulate hair growth.
Peppermint is also a natural antiseptic to help sooth inflammation and its antibacterial properties makes it a great blend with Rosemary to help fight acne. When used in aromatherapy it can help reduce headaches and is quite energizing. When used in haircare, it strengthens hair roots, promotes hair growth, and fights dandruff which again makes it a wonderful pairing with Rosemary.
In our Sparkling Apple Cider we use cinnamon essential oil. It contains a high concentration of antioxidants giving it an anti-aging effect when used in skincare. Due to the nature of cinnamon essential oil it can cause burning in high concentrations so we use a small amount to ensure its safe use. It is also said to stimulate circulation.
In our Farm Girl Mead products we use Vanilla essential oil. It is known to aide in smoothing out wrinkles and brighten dull-looking skin. It contains antioxidants and has antibacterial properties that helps fight acne. When used in aromatherapy, it acts as a mood-lifter and is said to help combat depression.
I hope you enjoyed learning just a bit about some of the essential oils we use in our products. Come back and read our posts all week to learn more about the other ingredients we use in our skincare line. We welcome you to comment below with any thoughts or questions you may have.
