Essential Oils-Part 2
Posted by Tisha Peterson on
Hi, I'm Tisha with Enchanted 3 Boutique. With the launch of our new spring products coming up at the end of the week I wanted to take some time to tell you about the benefits of the essential oils I use to make our bath and body products.
In our Lavender Lemonade Martini skincare products I blend the essential oils of lavender and lemongrass that gives our products a divine scent.
Lavender essential oil has both natural antifungal and antibacterial properties. It can be used to heal acne breakouts, reduce inflammation for eczema, and reduce the redness and irritation in psoriasis. It also contains antioxidants that makes it a great moisturizer. When used in aromatherapy it promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and promotes sleep. When used in haircare it promotes hair growth and increases thickness of hair follicles.
Lemongrass essential oil also possesses antifungal and antibacterial properties making it a natural pairing to lavender. It can be used as an astringent to help reduce oil and control shine. Lemongrass essential oil can also be used for detoxifying the skin and can fight against athletes foot. In aromatherapy, its a calming and soothing scent to help relax and reduce stress.
Our Autumn Woods Nectar skincare products are crafted by blending Sandalwood and Frankincense essential oils.
Sandalwood essential oil promotes hydration of the skin and is used for its anti-aging and moisturizing properties. It naturally tones the skin making it a great addition to any skincare product. It is often used in aromatherapy to combat against anxiety and depression and is often used in meditation.
Frankincense essential oil is said to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks. It also helps to moisturize skin. When used in aromatherapy, it can sooth worries and and stress and calms the mind.
I hope you enjoyed learning just a bit about some of the essential oils we use in our products. Come back and read our posts for the rest week to learn more about the other ingredients we use in our skincare line. We welcome you to comment below with any thoughts or questions you may have.
