If you build it, will they come?

Hi, I'm Tisha with Enchanted 3 Boutique. We are gearing up for warmer weather and deciding what craft shows and festivals we will be participating in. Shows that were cancelled last year are moving forward with plans to welcome people this year. We will have booths at  few select outdoor festivals and markets this year and it made me wonder how many of you will be getting out this summer to enjoy the warm weather, the sounds of crowds and carnival rides, the smells of fair food and baked goods? Or will you continue to stay home and use your computers and phones to bring some of those sights, sounds, and smells to you?

Claire and I talked about what we wanted this year to look like for the business. We launched our website last Thanksgiving due to the craft shows we planned on participating in being cancelled. We had faced a decision to either put the business on hold or lauch a website. We obviously decided waiting was not an option for us, so here we are. This year provides us a unique opportunity. We have carved out an online presence and will continue to build upon it, however we also have the opportunity to reach people by bringing them our creations during these outdoor markets and festivals. 

We still wonder how many people people will frequent the fairs that are opening back up after the last year we have all been through. From the polls being sent out by vendors, it sounds like people are ready to grasp any sense of normalacy they can and that includes getting out and about. It has yet to be seen that if you build it they will come but we may be finding out if that is true this year.

I would love to hear from all of you. What are your plans for the summer? Are you making them? Or are you waiting until you are vaccinated? Or are you just planning on staying home? I don't think there are any wrong answers.
